For Employers & Workplace Wellness

A wellness program people actually come back to.

Most workplace wellness offers get a burst of sign-ups and an empty room by week three. WPU runs on a shared lunch and a small group, the two things that keep people coming back. Nine weeks, one hour a week, led by someone on your own team.

Why most programs fade

Apps and step challenges are easy to launch and easy to ignore. Behavior change sticks better when people do it together.

Wellness leads are busy. A program has to be ready to run, not another thing to build.

What your team gets

  • A 9-week lunch-and-learn series with a short video or talk, a discussion, and one small step each week.
  • A leader guide for an internal champion. No nutrition background needed.
  • A shared plant-forward lunch format (catered or potluck), with recipes.
  • Simple sign-up and attendance tracking you can report to leadership.

WPU is in pre-launch. Materials are in draft, and founding partners help shape them before they open to everyone.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Pick a champion

Someone who'll host the room for nine lunch hours.

  2. 02

    Open sign-ups

Small cohorts of 8–20 work best. Run several in parallel at larger sites.

  3. 03

    Eat, talk, try one thing

Each week ends with one small step to try before the next lunch.

The nine weekly steps: Taste the Power · The Why · The Pantry Reset · Build the Plate · Master the Greens · Beans, Grains & the Power Foods · Less Meat, More Life · Move, Rest, Renew · The Ripple. See the full program.

The evidence

What the research says

  • People who joined a weight-loss program with friends and got social-support training were more likely to finish (95% vs 76%) and to keep weight off (66% vs 24%) than people who joined alone.

Questions

Is it a diet?

No. WPU is plant-forward, not plant-exclusive, and nobody is asked to give anything up. It's about adding more whole plants and finding meals people enjoy.

Can we run it remotely?

Yes. Remote cohorts meet on video and cook the same recipe at home that week.
