Why distribution isn't the end of the job
Unfamiliar items, like a bag of dried lentils or a bunch of collards, can go unused if people aren't sure how to cook them.
Pantry clients are short on time and money. Recipes have to be cheap, fast, and use what's in the box.
What we offer
- Recipe cards built around common pantry and produce items, with low-cost swaps.
- A pantry-line version of "The Pantry Reset": one card, one idea, one meal.
- A short version of the 9-week program for on-site classes or partner agencies.
- Recipe cards free to reproduce for food banks and pantries.
WPU is in pre-launch. Materials are in draft, and founding partners help shape them before they open to everyone.
Ways to use it
- 01
In the box
Add the matching recipe card to each distribution.
- 02
On the line
Run a tasting table with one dish made from that week's items.
- 03
At partner agencies
Churches and community centers that receive your food can host the full 9-week program.
The nine weekly steps: Taste the Power · The Why · The Pantry Reset · Build the Plate · Master the Greens · Beans, Grains & the Power Foods · Less Meat, More Life · Move, Rest, Renew · The Ripple. See the full program.
Questions
Is it free for food banks?
Yes. Recipe cards and the pantry lessons are free for food banks, pantries, and their partner agencies.
Can we translate the cards?
Please do, and send us the translation so other pantries can use it too.
